Do I cover your area?

I cover Yeovil and the surrounding villages. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are unsure if your area is included. I will try to accommodate you, but where this is not possible I will be able to recommend another qualified instructor who is also a member of the Yeovil & District Driving Instructors Association.

Learner Driving Lessons

Learner lessons are available in 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour or 2 hour sessions, so there is something to suit everybody's schedule and pocket. I am happy to collect you from home, your work place or college, whichever is the most convenient for you. Each lesson is structured to an individual pupils needs, whether you already have some experience or are a complete novice, with goals set at the outset, and a recap of your progress at the end. We will keep a written Progress Record which will help if you are also practising in your own car with a friend or relative, so you will always leave your lessons with a sense of achievement and looking forward to your next challenge!

Theory Training

As well as helping you pass your Practical Driving Test, I will also provide help and support to pass your Theory Test. I will set Multiple Choice Homework relevant to your practical lesson, and if required in car Theory training which will help reinforce that practical knowledge as well as set you on the right path to passing your Theory first time!

Pass Plus Training

Pass Plus is a DSA backed scheme which you can opt to complete after passing your L test. I cannot recommend it enough, as although you will have reached the required standard to pass your test, this course will give you the chance to gain valuable experience on road types which you may not have encountered before such as motorways and country lanes. A minimum of 6 hours training is required, which I try to do in 1 or 2 sessions. There is no doubt that every pupil who completes the course grows in skill and confidence which undoubtedly makes them safer on the roads. A lot of local councils have recognised this fact and are offering a grant towards the scheme as an incentive to young drivers. You may also be rewarded with a discount from some insurance companies, and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's no test at the end either!

Motorway Training

Are you too nervous to drive on Motorways? But not going to benefit from doing the whole Pass Plus course? If you have answered yes then Motorway training lessons are for you. Please get in contact to discuss areas you need help with so that we can structure the lessons to suit you and leave you driving away with no doubt you could tackle the motorways on your own in the future.

Refreshers Courses

Have you had a break from driving and feel you have lost your confidence? Or maybe you have certain areas which you feel you could brush up on, for example your parking? I am happy to help you improve your driving in any area where you have a weakness and get you safely back on the roads, with renewed confidence.
